Waze & Odyssey
Waze & Odyssey a.k.a Serge Santiago and Firas Waez, released their first track ‘Ah Baby (Here We Go Again)’ in early 2012 and have been carving their way through the dance music scene ever since. The now accomplished duo has seen significant chart success alongside some monstrous tour dates along the way. Their overall sound is not confined to their productions; the pair are DJs as much as they are producers. While managing to break down the boundaries between festival life and club intimacy, the enigmatic duo has created a timeless movement seeing them play to crowds at Hideout Festival in Croatia alongside illustrious club appearances at Panorama Bar (Berlin), Bob Beaman (Munich), Showcase (Paris) and Verkript (Amsterdam).

Their musical output has been constant throughout their career and has charted their success. With releases on numerous labels such as Edible Records, Circus Recordings, Get Physical, Wolf Music, Dirt Crew, VIVa MUSiC, Elrow, Throne of Blood and their imprint W&O Street Tracks they have nurtured a signature sound that culminates a mixture of old and new elements together. Their use of 808 drum machines, Linn Drums and DMX's alongside their assisted plugins results in a powerful and unique trademark to their records. This style also reflects their DJ sets, where classic and contemporary combine which keeps the crowd grooving, inspired by the pair’s affinity with crate digging which results in the finest of techno and house tracks. This ability to showcase the best of house and techno to the world showcases Serge and Firas’ admirable approach to their DJ sets.

Their life on the road continues to introduce the duo to new crowds from all corners of the globe. Highlights include US performances at the Faraway Warehouse parties in Los Angeles and Monarch in San Francisco alongside major European hotspots at Arma (Moscow), fabric (London), Razzmatazz (Barcelona) and The Warehouse Project (Manchester). The duo's sound has even stretched as far as New Zealand, Australia, and Asia with a standout show at Zouk (Singapore) leaving crowds ecstatic by the duo's incredible taste and energy.

Along with DJing and production, the duo founded their record label, W&O Street Tracks, in 2012. With an attentive ear for new and upcoming talent, the imprint has grown with them, providing a platform to assist other talented and passionate acts in achieving a similar goal. Acts they have championed on the label include Pedram, Mella Dee, Citizenn, Tapesh, Ejeca, John Tejada, Trikk, New Jack City, Bodhi, Daniel Steinberg, Mediman, Elphinio, XXXY, and Urulu.

Serge and Firas have every right to be satisfied with the legacy they will leave on dance music, presenting some of the finest up and coming talent in modern dance music. As they continue to push the boundaries, the pair can take solitude in leaving the scene in a better state than when they found it. With a string of successful remixes for the likes of TEED, Disclosure, Compuphonic, Jodie Abacus, Citizenn and Ejeca, the industry's top names have made no qualms about handling remix duties to the talented pair.

This unique combination allows them to gain insight into brand new and exciting music, leaving them very much still at the forefront of their art.
It's true that hard work and dedication are the key to success, which young North-Eastern star Denney realised when his first smash hit 'Ultraviolet' was signed by the infamous Hot Creations camp, leading to huge international success. He was fast named 'Future Hero' in Mixmag and the track held a strong position at Number 1 in the best selling vinyl chart on Juno and gained him support from heavy-weights Sasha, Damian Lazarus, Seth Troxler, MANDY, Pete Tong and many more.

Prior to this Denney had spent years playing at club nights around the North of England and working for the legendary Back to Basics in Leeds. With hours spent educating himself on music, networking and spending countless hours in the studio he soon began to reap the rewards of his hard work with releases on highly acclaimed labels such as VIVa Music, Saved Records, 2020 Vision and of course Hot Creations.

Denney's undeniable talents as a DJ have lead him to play all over the world including Europe, Australia and America, with a highlight at the notorious DC10 in Ibiza for Jamie Jones' Paradise. His style is unmistakable with a unique blend of house and techno with a distinct ability to create a special atmosphere. Playing alongside some of the world’s biggest names, Denney has shown a modest, unfaltering style - whether playing a warm up or main room set he always delivers.
Born in the UK, but raised in Chicago, Secondcity has a unique pan-Atlantic outlook on House and Techno music that takes influence from his exposure to both of these musical hotspots. As such, in the space of some 24 months, Rowan has accelerated into the collective consciousness of house heads around the world.

His inaugural year began with the much-hyped four track EP, ‘The Story’, on Huxley’s Saint’s And Sonnets imprint. Throughout 2013, Rowan continued to show everyone why there was so much hype, as demonstrated by his collaboration with Route94 for the sublime edit of ‘Freak Like Me’. With releases such as this a favourite with many major players, he soon found the likes of Skream, Kenny Dope, MK and Nic Fancuilli all championing his sound.

But 2014 was the year that Rowan would cement his place in the dance community. Starting it off with a bang, his release ‘I Enter’ on Claude Von Stroke’s ‘DirtyBird’ went onto hit top spot in the Beatport charts.

Growing up in Chicago, Rowan had a passion for house music from an early age. The track titled ‘I Wanna Feel’ was inspired by the city he grew up in, which became a mainstay in his sets and received a huge reaction week in, week out. The record started to pick up daytime Radio 1 plays with continued support from specialist’s Skream, Annie Mac, Zane Lowe, MistaJam and the rest is history. The track was signed to Ministry Of Sound/Speakerbox and was released on 25th May, with Rowan receiving his first ever UK No.1.

Rowan followed it up with the highly rated ‘Groove N’ On’ for DFTD. His production skills didn’t go unnoticed by the likes of Nic Fanciulli either as he was asked to produce an EP for Saved Records as well as remixes for the likes of Carl Cox (Circus) and Dimitri Nakov & John Monkman on Suara. He rounded off 2014 with what became a taste-makers favourite ‘What Can I Do’, his second release with Ministry Of Sound, which featured vocals from Ali Love.

After his break through year, 2015 saw Secondcity garnering a lot of support from peers including Andrea Oliva, Guti, Stacey Pullen, Hot Since 82 & many more. He kicked off the year with another release on the highly respected Saved Records with a 4 track EP ‘Feel It’. His groovy tech house beats were really catching on, with heavy rotation on radio, Rowan was asked by a select few to remix their tracks including Supernova, Dario D’Attis, Mendo and Mihalis Safras for Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep In Sound.

He finished the year off with ‘Say It’ - one of his most impressive releases to date. The track was released on Saved in December of 2015 and was accompanied by an equally impressive remix from industry heavyweight, Guti. The track was premiered by Pete Tong on Radio 1 whilst receiving a wide range of support from Marcel Dettmann, Dennis Ferrer, Joris Voorn, Damian Lazarus & Claptone to name but a few, all adding to his already impressive repertoire.

Ever busy in the studio, Rowan’s tour schedule was even more hectic. Playing festivals such as Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds, SW4, Creamfields, Pukkelpop, The Social and not forgetting heavyweight club shows across Europe. He also took his own brand “ENd” on a 12 date UK tour which included shows at The Warehouse Project, La Rocca and Fabric before taking ENd stateside for a five date tour of North America & Canada.

2015 was Secondcity’s breakthrough year as a DJ, playing at some of the most exciting parties Including ANTS shows at La Extrema BPM Festival & Ushuaia. He was also invited to play a select few La Familia shows curated by Joris Voorn and Nic Fanciulli.

Last year Rowan also picked up his first ever residency in Ibiza for Tribal Sessions at Sankeys. His impressive sets were not going under the radar, making his debut at festivals Snowbombing, Sonar, Hideout and Hard Summer Festival in LA making it his busiest year to date.

With all this in mind, 2016 is expected to be another exceptional year as the meteoric rise of Secondcity continues…
